i think that we need to figure out not only how we do all of the above in energy but how we move energy and i've been talking a lot about smart grid, about making sure that our electrical grid system is secure for the future. it is updated but also pipelines and pipelines are a big part of it. we want to be regionally self-sufficient. that's great for america. especially as it relates to making sure that we're not dependent on the middle east for oil. we just -- we just need to get this done and there's a balance that can be struck. i've said over and over again the problem is that you got people on the right who say it is all about fossil fuels whether it is coal, oil or gas. you got people on the left saying tomorrow we can turn on the windmills and that will get us the electricity we need. they're both wrong. we need to have a balanced approach. we also need to think sensibly about how we move the energy in the future. >> eliot: do you think the president is going to have the various departments of energy, e.p.a., federal level move forward on the pipeline after the new year? >> well
